Team Chicago was massive.

There were like 2000 Chicago athletes who poured into the stadium, giving the ever-massive San Francisco and California delegations (which were separate, as Chicago was from the embarassingly-tiny Illinois delegation), a run for its money. Major standing ovation (although you’re catching the tail end of that–many sat back down because it was taking FOREVER to get them all out there!).

Several hundred more came in after this photo was taken. You can only see probably about 3/4 of Chicago’s delegation so far here.
